Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up.

I have been an art teacher for over 20 years. It’s in my blood.  My mum and grandad were both headteachers. I recently found a report from my school days in Belfast, Northern Ireland.  When I was in the first year of primary school aged 6, my teacher wrote that I was ‘especially fond of painting and mark-making’. This is something that has stayed with me.

I graduated in 1994 with a degree in Fashion and Textiles, and then went on to do a PCGE in teaching Art & Design. I completed my studies with an MA in Education.

Based in London, now, I specialise in teaching art to young people with learning difficulties, and, as a result, my understanding of how to effectively deliver and nurture creative practice is through a person centred and holistic approach.

I hope you enjoy my website and I’m sure you’ll find something to bring out your inner artist
